Tyler Childers BIO
Tyler Childers is a Kentucky singer-songwriter whose country, bluegrass, Americana, and folk music draws on Appalachian stories and traditions. Known for his rich baritone and vivid songwriting, he earned widespread acclaim with Purgatory (2017), followed by Country Squire and Can I Take My Hounds to Heaven?. His music explores home, love, faith, rural life, and community, and he is widely regarded as a compelling live performer.
Childers' later work includes Rustin' in the Rain, released in 2024. Its singles include “In Your Love,” “Rustin' in the Rain,” and “No Ass at All.” The “In Your Love” video, which tells a love story between two male coal miners, drew attention for its message of LGBTQ+ acceptance in rural communities. The supplied event information identifies a 2024–2025 Rustin' in the Rain tour; it does not establish that the 2018 Evanston performance was part of that tour.
The available event record lists Childers at Evanston Space in Evanston, Illinois, on February 11, 2018. It does not provide details about his set or additional past dates at the venue. For visitors using ticketschicago.net to explore Concerts and Country / folk events, this listing connects Childers' Appalachian-rooted songwriting with an Evanston venue appearance.
